What type of build does Alumasc's Aqualine aluminium gutters suit?

Aqualine aluminium gutters are extruded gutter for modern, contemporary, commercial and new build projects.

How many colours are available in the Alumasc Aqualine aluminium rainwater range?

We can offer plain mill finish or a range of BBA approved polyester powder coatings. The standard aluminium RAL range offers a choice of 26 colours, all with a 30% gloss finish unless otherwise stated. Bespoke colours are also available, but surcharges may apply. 

What size lengths does the gutter come in?

Standard lengths are 3m, and come complete with 1no. loose union.

What are your bracket centres on Aqualine aluminium gutters?

We allow three brackets per gutter length (1no. every 1m), one extra at outlets, or change in direction (angles).

Are fascia brackets visible on the Aqualine Aluminium Gutter range?

No, the fascia bracket is located behind the gutter, therefore are not seen, however on our smallest size half round gutter the bracket is slightly visible under neath the gutter line.

Do you need your fascia to be plum when installing Aqualine Aluminium Gutter range?

Yes, that is why the range is more suited to new builds and commercial projects, in order for the gutter to engage with the bracket the fascia needs to be plum. You can use shims to adjust the brackets but you don’t have much tolerance other wise the gutter wont click on.

What profiles do you have available for the Aqualine Aluminium Gutter range?

We offer five profiles of gutter half round, deep run half round, Modern, Moulded & Box, in various profile sizes.

How do you join Aqualine Aluminium gutters?

This system is a "dry jointed" system, a rubber gasket is used to create the seal at the joint. Silicone is used as a secondary measure to weather the edges of the union.

Do I need to purchase a starter pack with every new Aqualine Aluminium gutter order?

Yes, a starter pack is required for each order. It contains the jointing tool, lubricant, lock bars, spare seal strips, and shims. It is vital that one is ordered otherwise installation is impossible.

Will you send the correct amount of items in the Aqualine starter pack, if I order just one per order regardless of quantity's?

Yes, one starter pack will come with enough tools, bars, strips and shims for the quantity of lengths and fittings on each order.

Can Alumasc's Aqualine Aluminium gutters be installed level?

When sizing the gutter we base this on a gutter being installed level. So in short yes you can as long as the system has been sized correctly using Alumasc's online calculator.

What style of Alumasc aluminium downpipe can be used?

All our aluminium downpipe ranges are compatible with this system to give you the appearance you require - Heritage, Flushjoint, Swaged, Guardian.

Do you supply a Leaf guard for Alumasc's Aqualine aluminium guttering range?

No we don’t, a leaf guard will actually reduce the flow of water into your gutter due to a build up of saturated leaf's sat on top of the system. This will increase weight on the system and will mean you will need a buggier size gutter. As long as regular maintenance is adhered to the system should be self cleansing.

Our house is situated near a lot of trees, what maintenance programme would you recommend?

You should clean the wash out the gutters every quarter to ensure optimal efficiency of the system, in areas where there are a lot of trees the maintenance period should be reduced to once every two months.

What should we do if you have to cut the Aqualine aluminium gutters or downpipes, will it jeopardise the powder coating finish?

As long as you defile the cut, and then use touch up paint to paint the exposed ends before install then it wont effect the BBA guarantee.

What do I do if I live near a Marine environment?

We would suggest you install the brackets using a stainless steel screw. We can also provide the product in a Marine grade finish (thicker coating of powder) at an extra cost.

How recyclable is the Alumasc Aqualine aluminium guttering range?

Yes all aluminium products are 100% recyclable, making in a good choice for both your build and the environment.
